Ant West and Christian Ward of Futures at Lake Lodge, December 2010.

Futures were holed up in Lake Lodge during December to write the album which will be their debut on Mercury records, to which they were signed last year.  I spent a day with them in their hideaway and was treated to hearing snippets of their new music, while drinking coffee and taking photos.  The full set is now up on LOVEBLACKANDWHITE, so head over to see more…

Outtakes: Christian Ward of Futures, March 2010.  Every time I look at this photo it makes me laugh, even though I can’t remember what it was we all found so funny at the time.  Yet the person in the background, all huddled up in a hoodie, is Ant and he’d laughed so much that hot water he’d been drinking had gone up his nose!  And remembering that is what amuses me most.
